UEFA Competition Match Balls Revealed

The official match balls for the 2012/13 UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League have been unveiled by adidas in Monaco.
The adidas UEFA Champions League Finale 12 official match ball will be used in all group stage matches of the coming season's competition. The new design features an outer coating texture designed to provide optimal grip at the point of impact and the artwork within the star panel construction.
The artwork within the iconic star panel construction uses bold colours (white, lab lime and dark violet) and has been created to reflect a tactics board of precise on-field movements. The geographical locations throughout Europe linked together as a result of the competition are also represented.
The thermal-bonded stars on the match ball, based on the design of the UEFA Champions League logo, contain the co-ordinates of Nyon, Switzerland and Herzogenaurach, Germany, the homes of UEFA and adidas respectively.
The new match ball for the UEFA Europa League features key ball technology first used for the Tango 12 at UEFA EURO 2012. The distinctive design incorporates the UEFA Europa League colours of red and yellow and also features an interpretation of the UEFA Europa League Trophy within the panel designs.
adidas have also produced the official match ball for the 2012 UEFA Super Cup, between Chelsea FC and Club Atlético de Madrid in Monaco.
